Sul Progetto
«Nonostante i due temi scelti non fossero totalmente distanti, ho voluto sfidare l’AI, pensando che avrei scelto comunque il primo prompt proposto anche se fosse stata una cosa totalmente scomposta o che non mi sarebbe piaciuta. La fortuna è che, sia il soggetto che il luogo principale del tema, fossero tra i miei contesti preferiti. Fin da subito non ho fatto altro che immaginarmi la scena in movimento, con un orso blu e giallo che spadellava la mattina a colazione, cosa che mi faceva molto sorridere. Avevo pensato anche di idealizzare l’illustrazione in tema più tech per rimanere nel contesto di intelligenza artificiale, invece sono andato controcorrente e ho disegnato quello che sentivo dentro. L’AI avrebbe fatto lo stesso?».

Mirko Càmia è un illustratore italiano vincitore di diversi premi internazionali, con oltre 25 anni di esperienza come illustratore e Art Director. Ha lavorato per numerose campagne pubblicitarie, magazine, spot televisivi e mostre. Negli ultimi anni ha insegnato e tenuto speech in diverse università e istituti d’arte.
About the Project
“Even though the two chosen themes weren’t totally worlds apart, I still wanted to challenge the AI, deciding in advance that I’d pick the very first prompt it offered, even if it turned out completely disjointed or not to my liking. Luckily, both the subject and the primary setting were among my absolute favorites. Right from the start, all I could visualize was the scene in motion: a blue and yellow bear whipping up breakfast in the morning, which brought a huge smile to my face. I had briefly considered giving the illustration a more tech-driven aesthetic to stay within the realm of artificial intelligence, but instead, I swam against the current and drew what I felt inside. Would AI have done the same?”
