About the Project
“Today, keyboards give shape to many of our experiences, from the most mundane to the foundational; keycaps are nothing less than the pixels of language. The sense of sight materializes through building a world in images, by gazing at screens, we explore entire universes.”
Note: QWERTY is the most common alphanumeric keyboard layout. It was originally designed to space out frequently used letters, preventing the mechanical typebars of early typewriters from jamming. The name comes from the sequence of the first six keys on the top letter row.
The Artist
Jacques Fuá works in the realm of photographic illustration following a simple rule: create by hand using the head, and vice versa. He believes in the narrative power of materials, the beauty of thought as a vehicle for a message, and the dialogue between different art forms. He personally handles the entire creative process: concept, craftsmanship, and the final shoot.
