«Sono partito con i prompt autogenerati unendo interior design e animali. Le strutture erano molto simili tra loro e non eccessivamente creative: una stanza della casa in un certo stile, un pezzo di arredamento, un animale inserito nel contesto. Ho provato ad invertire il formato del mio prompt, trasgredendo alle regole del progetto, generando altri prompt ma, come insegna la matematica, invertendo l’ordine degli addendi il risultato non cambia. Allora ho lavorato sull’animale che nello specifico rappresentava la metafora più indicata per i nostri tempi: la scimmia che lavora al computer».

Federico Epis è un illustratore nato e cresciuto a Bergamo e formato a Milano. Incentrato principalmente su tematiche outdoor e adventures, ama dare alle sue illustrazioni un aspetto vintage ma in una direzione innovativa. Sempre alla ricerca di ispirazione, a livello professionale come nella vita privata il suo stile non è mai cristallizzato ma in continuo cambiamento.
About the Project
“I started with the auto-generated prompts by combining interior design and animals. The structures were all very similar and not overly creative: a room in a specific style, a piece of furniture, an animal placed in the setting. I tried reversing the format of my prompt, bending the project’s rules, to generate a new set, but as basic math teaches us, changing the order of the factors doesn’t change the product. So I decided to focus on the animal that felt like the most fitting metaphor for our times: a monkey working at a computer.”

Federico Epis is an illustrator born and raised in Bergamo and trained in Milan. Focused primarily on outdoor and adventure themes, he loves giving his illustrations a vintage look while steering them in an innovative direction. Constantly searching for inspiration in both his professional and personal life, his style is never static, but in continuous evolution.
