«L’AI mi affascina e spaventa. Non credo che la creatività possa essere ridotta a dati in un computer. Proprio per esplorare questa dicotomia certo/incerto, ho scelto due temi che mi suscitavano queste stesse sensazioni: so gestire gli animali, ma non l’architettura. Del prompt vedevo solo il problema, ma chi ha mai disegnato una casa con delle piume? Poi ho capito che affrontare ciò che fa paura è più facile se lo uniamo a ciò che conosciamo. Quindi perché non partire dalla tartaruga? Ecco, infatti, che grazie alla sua faccia beata sono riuscita poi a dar vita a tutto il resto».

Elena Scarcipino è un’illustratrice e fumettista marchigiana che ama sperimentare, mescolando tecniche analogiche e digitali. About the Project
“AI both fascinates and terrifies me. I don’t believe creativity can be reduced to data points in a computer. To explore this very dichotomy between certainty and uncertainty, I selected two themes that evoked these exact feelings in me: I know how to handle animals, but not architecture. Looking at the prompt, all I saw was a problem, after all, who has ever drawn a house made of feathers? Then I realized that facing what scares you is easier if you pair it with what you know. So why not start with the turtle? Sure enough, thanks to its serene face, I was able to bring everything else to life.”

Elena Scarcipino is an illustrator and comic artist from the Marche region who loves to experiment by blending analog and digital techniques.
