AI Prompt: A swarm of ants decides to open a gourmet restaurant for insects, but they find themselves facing fierce competition from the city’s gourmet locusts.

About the Project
“A few thoughts on the prompt, written before and after the exercise:
• The prompts were cool, but I wanted something with a clear narrative tension: the first and third were my favorites because they had richer contrasts. However, the lobster prompt had a subtle political undertone, and I like bugs, so the first prompt won out.
• I enjoyed having room to imagine the setting: the ants’ place has a vintage feel, and I wanted to capture the atmosphere of an Italian-American spot straight out of a gangster movie, somewhere between The Godfather and Goodfellas. Ostentatious decor, an elegant yet insufferable clientele.
• Rereading the prompt, I subconsciously added a darker edge: the conflict between the ants and the locusts is mob-related, not culinary. I think there’s a sense of unspoken violence between the characters. Still, the prompt could just as easily have been interpreted with a lighter, comedy tone. Reading it again after completing the piece was interesting, as I noticed something that had previously seemed self-evident.”
